Trent R.
Morse was raised in Buffalo, New York. After high school, he joined the U. S. Navy where he
attained the rank of E-5. He retired
from Continental Airlines after a 28 year tenure where he rose to General
Manager in Long Beach, California and St. Louis, Missouri. He and his wife,
Janet relocated to Indianapolis prior to his retirement in 1995.
This first
attempt at retirement was brief.
Trent soon went
to work as Director of Victims Services for the State of Indiana where his team
instituted procedural eligibility, investigated compliances, researched
applicants and allocated millions of grant dollars for federally sponsored
programs to various charitable and non-profit organizations throughout the
state. He also served as District manager for Access Financial Services before accepting
a position with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as a Contact Service
Representative. Trent describes this as, “very detailed and specifics driven”. His
responsibilities included interpreting tax laws and assisting taxpayers with
various types of tax issues including balances owed and how to address them. He
again retired after several years of service.
Since his last
retirement, Trent and Janet have spent the majority of their time managing
their rental business which consists of 7 single family houses located
primarily on the west side of Indianapolis.
Trent pledges
to bring the same passion, efficiency and dedication to his position as
treasurer to help the INA achieve its intended goals and stability.
